Which actor voices Sgt. Avery Johnson in Halo: Campaign Evolved?

Keston John voices Sgt. Avery Johnson in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

John takes over the role for the remake, succeeding David Scully, who voiced Johnson in the original Halo: Combat Evolved and later retired from acting in 2013. The new performance is part of Campaign Evolved’s broader re-recording of dialogue and rebuilding of its cinematics.

Johnson is one of the Halo series’ most recognizable UNSC figures: a veteran Marine sergeant known for his courage, battlefield experience, and memorable camaraderie with Master Chief. Campaign Evolved expands his presence through three new missions set before the events of Combat Evolved, including the prequel operation known as Operation METEORITE.

Steve Downes is not the answer here: he voices John-117, or Master Chief. David Scully is the original Johnson performer, while Keston John is the credited voice for the 2026 remake.
