Which actor voiced Prince Zuko in the original animated series?

The story behind the answer

Dante Basco voiced Prince Zuko in the original animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Zuko is the banished prince of the Fire Nation, introduced as a determined rival who pursues Aang in hopes of restoring his honor.

Basco’s performance helped define Zuko’s complicated arc. Although Zuko begins the story as an antagonist, his anger, shame, and conflict with his father gradually give way to self-knowledge. His journey eventually leads him to reject the Fire Nation’s imperial ambitions, join Team Avatar, and become Fire Lord after the war.

Viewers sometimes confuse the voice cast across different adaptations. Zach Tyler Eisen voiced Aang, Jack De Sena voiced Sokka, and Greg Baldwin voiced Iroh after Mako’s death during production. Zuko was voiced by Dante Basco throughout the original animated series. In other versions, different performers played or voiced the character, including Dev Patel in the 2010 film and Dallas Liu in Netflix’s live-action series.
