Which actor plays Gabriel in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One?

Esai Morales plays Gabriel in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

Gabriel is introduced as a dangerous figure from Ethan Hunt’s past. The character’s connection to Ethan is revealed through flashbacks and becomes central to the film’s emotional and espionage plot. Morales portrays Gabriel as a calculating operative aligned with forces pursuing control of the Entity.

Dead Reckoning Part One was released in 2023 and was directed by Christopher McQuarrie. Morales joined a returning ensemble that included Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby. The film also introduced Hayley Atwell as Grace.

Gabriel can be confused with other franchise antagonists because Mission: Impossible repeatedly uses covert identities, rival agents, and shifting alliances. Henry Czerny plays Eugene Kittridge, while Shea Whigham plays Jasper Briggs, neither of whom is Gabriel.
