Let There Be Rock
Answer
Let There Be Rock
AC/DC’s song “Whole Lotta Rosie” appears on the album Let There Be Rock.
The track is the eighth and final song on both the Australian and international editions of the album. Let There Be Rock was released in 1977, during the band’s early period with singer Bon Scott, guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young, bassist Mark Evans, and drummer Phil Rudd.
“Whole Lotta Rosie” was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott. Its title character was inspired by a woman Scott reportedly met in Melbourne, and the song became one of AC/DC’s best-known concert staples. The track is often mixed up with Powerage because the albums were released close together and share the band’s raw late-1970s sound. It was also issued as a single in 1977, backed by “Dog Eat Dog,” while a shortened live version was released in 1978. The song’s live performances later became famous for Angus Young’s extended guitar work and the giant inflatable Rosie stage prop.
