Which 2026–27 Premier League opening-weekend fixture was played at the MKM Stadium?

Hull City versus Manchester United was the 2026–27 Premier League opening-weekend fixture played at the MKM Stadium.

Hull City hosted Manchester United at the MKM Stadium on Saturday 22 August 2026. The match was scheduled for 12:30 UK time, making it the first Saturday game of the new campaign.

Hull won 2–0, producing one of the weekend’s most notable results. The stadium is Hull City’s home ground in Kingston upon Hull and has been known as the MKM Stadium since 2021. Its naming history can cause confusion, as the venue was previously called the KCOM Stadium.

The other opening-weekend fixtures were played at different grounds, including Emirates Stadium, St James’ Park, Craven Cottage and Brentford Community Stadium. The venue clue therefore identifies Hull’s match, while the scoreline provides an additional check: the home side won without conceding.
