Which 2019 Beyoncé documentary follows her 2018 Coachella performance?

Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé is the 2019 documentary following Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance.

The film was released on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It combines concert footage from Beyoncé’s headline appearances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with behind-the-scenes material about rehearsals, creative planning, dancers, musicians, and production.

Beyoncé’s 2018 performance was widely nicknamed “Beychella.” It featured a large marching-band-inspired ensemble and a reunion with Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The show highlighted historically Black college and university culture through music, staging, and visual design.

Homecoming is not the same as Black Is King, which is a 2020 visual album film connected with The Lion King: The Gift. Nor is it Life Is but a Dream, Beyoncé’s earlier 2013 HBO documentary.
