Super Bowl XLVII was the 2013 performance in which Beyoncé reunited with Destiny’s Child during the halftime show.
The show took place on February 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Beyoncé performed a medley of solo songs before Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined her for Destiny’s Child songs including “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women Part I.”
The appearance was especially notable because it brought the group’s three best-known members together onstage after their active group period had ended. Beyoncé then returned to solo material, closing with “Halo.” The performance was broadcast during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.
Super Bowl XLVII is sometimes confused with Beyoncé’s later 2016 Super Bowl 50 guest appearance with Coldplay and Bruno Mars. The 2013 show was her first Super Bowl halftime performance and the one featuring the Destiny’s Child reunion.
