Which 1966 Disney Pooh featurette was the only one made under Walt Disney’s supervision?

The story behind the answer

Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree was the only Disney Pooh featurette released under Walt Disney’s supervision.

The animated featurette premiered theatrically on February 4, 1966, paired with The Ugly Dachshund. It adapts the first two chapters of A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh and follows Pooh’s attempts to reach honey in a tall tree and later eat at Rabbit’s house.

The film was produced while Walt Disney was still alive; he died in December 1966. The next major Pooh featurette, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, was released in 1968 and became notable as the last animated short produced by Walt Disney.

The wording can cause confusion because Disney continued making Pooh films after 1966. However, later releases were created by the studio after Disney’s death, even though they continued to use Milne’s characters and Disney’s established visual style.
