The towers are distinctive landmarks scattered across the Palpagos Islands. Each major faction has a powerful Pal trainer associated with one of these locations, and the trainer serves as a major boss encounter. Reaching and defeating these tower leaders is part of Palworld’s broader exploration and progression loop.

Towers are not the same as arenas, factories, or caves. Palworld does contain many other types of locations, including bases, dungeons, caves, and industrial areas, but those terms do not describe the residence and boss structure used for faction leaders. The tower label is therefore the canonical answer to this question.

The tower battles combine a human faction leader with a powerful partner Pal, making them more than ordinary fights against roaming NPCs. The setup also helps connect Palworld’s story factions to the game’s map: players encounter the organizations in the world, then can confront their leaders at recognizable strongholds.
