When was the Xbox One X released worldwide?

The story behind the answer

The Xbox One X was released worldwide on November 7, 2017.

Microsoft announced the console at E3 2017 under the project name Project Scorpio. It was marketed as the most powerful console available at launch, with a custom graphics processor designed to support enhanced 4K rendering in supported games.

The Xbox One X launched at a recommended price of $499 in the United States. It played Xbox One games and supported backward compatibility for selected Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles through Microsoft's compatibility program.

The Xbox One X was a premium revision of the Xbox One family rather than a wholly new console generation. Its smaller design and higher performance distinguished it from the original Xbox One and the Xbox One S.
