What was the title of the first regular Disney comic-book series published by Dell Comics?

The first regular Disney comic-book series published by Dell Comics was Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories.

The series began in 1940 and became one of the most important long-running Disney publications. It collected stories featuring characters such as Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto, creating a durable print branch of Disney merchandise and entertainment.

Its early issues grew out of material first associated with comic sections and earlier Disney publications. Over time, the title became especially known for stories by creators including Carl Barks, whose Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge work helped define Disney comics.

Readers sometimes mistake Four Color for the title of the series. Four Color was a Dell anthology line that carried many early Disney issues before Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories became its own regular numbered publication.
