A Disney Lorcana deck can use at most two ink colors.
Ink colors are one of the central deck-building systems in Disney Lorcana. Each card belongs to one of six colors—Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, or Steel—and a constructed deck may combine only two of them.
This rule creates an important balance between variety and consistency. Players must choose which two colors best support their preferred characters, actions, and strategy. A deck may contain many cards, but cards from a third ink color cannot be included in a legal standard deck.
The rule is sometimes confused with the number of copies allowed for an individual card. That is a separate restriction: a player generally may include no more than four copies of a card with the same full name. Ink colors govern the deck’s overall identity, while copy limits govern repetition.
