Cowboy Carter was the title of Beyoncé’s 2024 album that won the Grammy for Best Country Album.
Released on March 29, 2024, Cowboy Carter is Beyoncé’s eighth solo studio album and the second act of her planned trilogy. It explores country, Americana, blues, rock, folk, and broader American roots traditions while connecting those styles to Black musical history.
The album includes “Texas Hold ’Em,” which became Beyoncé’s first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. It also made her the first Black woman to reach number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. Guests include Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, and Post Malone.
At the 67th Grammy Awards in 2025, Cowboy Carter won Album of the Year and Best Country Album. Beyoncé became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album. “Act II: Cowboy Carter” is commonly used in the album’s rollout context, but Cowboy Carter is the album title used in the question.
