Beyoncé’s 2024 album that topped the Billboard country albums chart was Cowboy Carter.
Cowboy Carter is Beyoncé’s eighth studio album and the second act of her planned three-act project. It was released on March 29, 2024. The album explores country, Americana, rock, folk, and broader American musical traditions while emphasizing the historical contributions of Black artists.
Its songs include “Texas Hold ’Em,” “16 Carriages,” and “Jolene,” a reinterpretation of Dolly Parton’s classic. “Texas Hold ’Em” also made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
The album was initially referred to publicly as Act II before its formal title was announced. That is why Act II is a plausible but incomplete answer. Cowboy Carter debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to lead the latter chart.
