Beyoncé’s 2022 album, commonly called Act I of a trilogy, was titled Renaissance.
The album was released on July 29, 2022, and was presented as the first act of a planned trilogy. Its sound draws heavily on dance, house, disco, funk, and ballroom traditions, creating a club-oriented work distinct from the visual-album presentation of Lemonade.
The lead single, “Break My Soul,” became a major international hit and gave Beyoncé another Billboard Hot 100 number-one single. Renaissance also includes “Cuff It,” “Alien Superstar,” and “Virgo’s Groove.”
The album won the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album. The title is sometimes written with a subtitle in fan discussion, but the official album name is Renaissance.
