Beyoncé’s 2019 Netflix concert film about her Coachella performance was titled Homecoming.
Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé documents and contextualizes her 2018 performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. She became the first Black woman to headline the festival, and the performances were widely praised for their scale, choreography, live musicianship, and celebration of historically Black college and university culture.
The film was released on Netflix on April 17, 2019, alongside a live album. It combines concert footage with rehearsal scenes, production material, and Beyoncé’s reflections on preparing for the shows after giving birth to twins.
Homecoming is different from Black Is King, a 2020 visual album connected to The Lion King: The Gift. It is also different from Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, which documents the 2023 Renaissance World Tour. Those projects cover separate periods of Beyoncé’s career.
