What was the title of Beyoncé’s 2019 Coachella documentary?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé’s 2019 Coachella documentary was titled Homecoming.

Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé was released on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It documents the preparation and performances behind Beyoncé’s 2018 appearances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.

The concert production celebrated historically Black colleges and universities, using marching-band arrangements, majorette choreography, a large ensemble, and references to Black college culture. The performance was widely nicknamed “Beychella.”

The documentary combines rehearsal footage, backstage material, and the festival performances. It should not be confused with Black Is King, Beyoncé’s 2020 visual album film connected to The Lion King: The Gift, or Life Is But a Dream, a 2013 documentary about her life and career. Homecoming also accompanied a live album released in 2019.
