What was the name of the Xbox 360's redesigned 2013 hardware model?
Answer
Xbox 360 E
Answer
Xbox 360 E
The Xbox 360’s redesigned 2013 hardware model was called the Xbox 360 E.
Microsoft introduced the Xbox 360 E at E3 in June 2013. It used a smaller enclosure with styling that more closely resembled the Xbox One, which was announced at the same event. The redesign followed the earlier Xbox 360 S, released in 2010.
The Xbox 360 E retained compatibility with the Xbox 360 software ecosystem while revising the exterior and port arrangement. Some connections found on earlier versions were removed or changed, so accessories and cables were not identical across every revision.
The Xbox 360 E remained part of the Xbox 360 family rather than becoming a new console generation. Microsoft later ended Xbox 360 production in 2016, although Xbox Live services and backward compatibility continued in other forms.
