What was the name of Beyoncé’s 2018 joint tour with Jay-Z?
Answer
On the Run II Tour
Beyoncé’s 2018 joint tour with Jay-Z was called the On the Run II Tour.
The tour supported the married performers’ collaborative album Everything Is Love, released in June 2018 under the name The Carters. It began in Cardiff, Wales, on June 6, 2018, and concluded in Seattle, Washington, on October 4, 2018. The stadium production combined solo songs with collaborative performances and extensive video interludes.
On the Run II followed the original On the Run Tour, which Beyoncé and Jay-Z staged in 2014. The sequel therefore used the Roman numeral II to distinguish it from that earlier tour.
The tour title is sometimes shortened to OTR II, but its full official name was On the Run II Tour. It was not Beyoncé’s solo Formation World Tour, which took place in 2016, nor her later Renaissance World Tour.
