Beyoncé’s 2009 fragrance launched with Coty was called Heat.
Heat was Beyoncé’s first official fragrance and was introduced in 2010 after development with Coty, despite the product being associated with its 2009 launch campaign. The fragrance was presented as a warm, sensual scent and marketed with Beyoncé’s image and the slogan “Catch the Fever.”
The bottle and campaign used red tones that matched the fragrance’s name and its theatrical branding. Heat became the first in a series of Beyoncé fragrances, followed by products including Pulse and Rise.
It is sometimes confused with True Star, an earlier celebrity fragrance associated with Beyoncé’s modeling and endorsement work for Tommy Hilfiger. True Star was not the same as her Coty fragrance line.
