What was the first-set tiebreak score in Djokovic's 2024 Olympic singles final win?

The story behind the answer

The first-set tiebreak score in Djokovic's 2024 Olympic singles final win was 7–3.

Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz 7–6 (7–3), 7–6 (7–2) in the men's singles gold-medal match on 4 August 2024. Thus, the first tiebreak ended 7–3; the second ended 7–2. The two scores are easy to mix up because both sets went to tiebreaks and Djokovic won both.

The match was played on the clay courts of Roland Garros in Paris. Djokovic saved eight break points during the contest and converted his first match point, winning his first Olympic gold medal at his fifth Games.

The triumph completed Djokovic's career Golden Slam: victories in all four major tournaments plus Olympic singles gold. He also became the third man to achieve that feat, after Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal. Alcaraz, appearing at his first Olympics, took silver, while Lorenzo Musetti won bronze.
