Answer
Hobbs & Shaw
Answer
Hobbs & Shaw
Hobbs & Shaw was the first Fast & Furious spin-off film.
Officially titled Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, the film was released in 2019. It focuses on Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson, and Deckard Shaw, played by Jason Statham, who reluctantly cooperate to stop a global threat. The film expands the franchise beyond Dom Toretto’s core team while retaining its action, espionage, and family themes.
David Leitch directed the spin-off, and Vanessa Kirby played Hattie Shaw, Deckard’s sister. Idris Elba portrayed Brixton Lore, a cybernetically enhanced operative working for the terrorist organization Eteon.
Hobbs & Shaw is separate from the numbered mainline films, although it uses characters and continuity established by them. Tokyo Drift is also sometimes mistakenly called a spin-off because it has a different lead cast and setting, but it is a main franchise installment and the third film released.
