Answer
Super Bowl XLVII
Answer
Super Bowl XLVII
Beyoncé’s first live solo Super Bowl halftime performance was at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013.
The halftime show took place on February 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Beyoncé performed several of her major songs and was joined onstage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, reuniting Destiny’s Child.
Her set followed the release of her fourth studio album, 4, and preceded the later release of her self-titled visual album. The performance was broadcast to a huge global television audience and became one of the most discussed halftime shows of the decade.
Beyoncé returned to the Super Bowl halftime stage in 2016 as a guest during Coldplay’s show at Super Bowl 50. That later appearance is why the two Super Bowl events are sometimes confused.
