What type of Zord does the Pink Ranger pilot in Mighty Morphin?

What type of Zord does the Pink Ranger pilot in Mighty Morphin? The Pink Ranger pilots the Pterodactyl Dinozord. Its prehistoric flying-reptile design reflects the Pink Ranger’s aerial role and gives the original team an important airborne vehicle.

Kimberly Hart, the original Pink Ranger, receives the Pterodactyl Power Coin from Zordon and controls the Pterodactyl Dinozord. The five original Dinozords combine to form the Dino Megazord, with the Pterodactyl forming the helmet and chest components. Kimberly also uses the Power Bow as her signature weapon.

The answer is sometimes confused with the Pterodactyl’s later appearances under Katherine “Kat” Hillard, who succeeds Kimberly as Pink Ranger. Kat also controls the Pterodactyl Dinozord after taking over the role, so the machine is associated with both original Pink Rangers in Mighty Morphin.

The other original Dinozords correspond to the team’s remaining colors: Tyrannosaurus for Red, Mastodon for Black, Triceratops for Blue, and Sabertooth Tiger for Yellow. “Pterodactyl” is therefore the expected short answer, while “Pterodactyl Dinozord” is the full name.
