What item does Ditto find before taking a human form in Pokémon Pokopia?

Ditto finds its trainer’s old Pokédex before taking a human form in Pokémon Pokopia.

The Pokédex is the story object that connects Ditto to the vanished human world. After finding it, Ditto assumes a human form based on its trainer and begins helping investigate the abandoned environment.

This moment gives the playable character a personal link to the mystery surrounding humanity’s disappearance. Ditto is not simply copying a random person for convenience; its transformation is tied to a remembered trainer and the objects left behind.

The Pokédex should not be confused with the Pokédex systems used mainly to record Pokémon species in the core games. In Pokopia’s plot, the old device also functions as a clue and a symbol of Ditto’s relationship with its former human companion.
