What is the title of the first The Powerpuff Girls pilot short shown on What a Cartoon!?
Answer
Meat Fuzzy Lumkins
Meat Fuzzy Lumkins is the title of the first The Powerpuff Girls pilot short shown on What a Cartoon!.
The short introduced the basic premise and visual style of the future series before Cartoon Network ordered a full television program. It featured the girls facing Fuzzy Lumpkins, a red-haired creature whose property and temper make him one of their earliest enemies.
The title combines the phrase “meat” with the villain’s name, matching the series’ tendency toward surreal, playful wordplay. The pilot helped demonstrate that McCracken’s student-film concept could support recurring characters and episodic superhero comedy.
Whoopass Stew! is a separate earlier student-film title and is therefore a frequent source of confusion. It helped inspire the franchise, but Meat Fuzzy Lumkins was the What a Cartoon! pilot short.
