What is the title of The Doors' final album with Jim Morrison?
Answer
L.A. Woman
Answer
L.A. Woman
The title of The Doors' final album with Jim Morrison was L.A. Woman.
Released by Elektra Records on April 19, 1971, L.A. Woman was The Doors' sixth studio album and the last one recorded with Morrison as the band's lead singer. It followed Morrison Hotel and marked a return to the bluesier, more raw sound that had helped define the group.
The album was made after producer Paul A. Rothchild left the sessions, dissatisfied with the band's performances. The Doors then worked with sound engineer Bruce Botnick and largely produced the record themselves. Key tracks include “Love Her Madly,” “The Changeling,” “Riders on the Storm,” and the title song.
A common mix-up is confusing the album with Other Voices, released later in 1971. Other Voices was The Doors' first album after Morrison's death and did not feature him as the active lead vocalist. Morrison later appeared posthumously on An American Prayer, but L.A. Woman remains his final Doors album recorded during his lifetime.
