What is the title of the 2021 tribute album covering every track on Metallica’s The Black Album?

The 2021 tribute album covering every track on Metallica’s The Black Album is The Metallica Blacklist.

The compilation was assembled for the original album’s 30th anniversary and features covers by 53 artists. Rather than presenting one version of each song, the project includes multiple interpretations of many tracks, spanning rock, metal, pop, country, blues, punk, rap, and Latin styles.

The Metallica Blacklist was released digitally on September 10, 2021, followed by physical editions on October 1. Contributors included established artists and newer performers, giving songs such as “Nothing Else Matters,” “Enter Sandman,” and “Sad but True” radically different settings.

The project also had a charitable purpose. For each song, half of the proceeds went to Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, while the other half went to a charity chosen by the contributing artist. It is separate from the original 1991 album and from the 2021 remastered editions and deluxe box set.
