What is the title of the 1928 sequel to A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh?

The story behind the answer

The 1928 sequel to A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh is titled The House at Pooh Corner.

Published two years after the first Pooh collection, the book continued the adventures of Pooh, Christopher Robin and their friends. It also introduced Tigger, who became one of the best-known characters in later Pooh adaptations.

The book’s title refers to a place in the Hundred Acre Wood associated with Pooh. Its chapters include stories about games, storms, journeys and Christopher Robin’s growing awareness that childhood is changing.

The House at Pooh Corner is often confused with Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, a 2009 authorized sequel by David Benedictus. That later book is not Milne’s second original Pooh collection. Milne’s two canonical story books are Winnie-the-Pooh from 1926 and The House at Pooh Corner from 1928.
