Beyoncé’s 2019 Netflix documentary film is titled Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé.
The film documents her 2018 performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It combines concert footage with behind-the-scenes preparation, rehearsals, interviews, and reflections on the production’s cultural meaning.
The shows were widely described as a celebration of Black music, history, and college culture. Beyoncé incorporated marching-band traditions, majorette choreography, a large ensemble, and songs from different stages of her career.
Netflix released Homecoming on April 17, 2019, alongside a live album of the performance. The title is sometimes shortened to Homecoming, while the complete film title includes “A Film by Beyoncé.” It should not be confused with Black Is King, her 2020 visual album film connected to The Lion King: The Gift.
