Beyoncé’s 2019 concert film based on her 2018 Coachella performance is Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé.
The film premiered on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It combines extensive performance footage with behind-the-scenes material and personal reflections about the preparation required for Beyoncé’s Coachella sets.
The concert featured marching bands, dancers, majorettes, a large ensemble, and guest appearances by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Its structure drew inspiration from historically Black colleges and universities and their traditions of music, dance, and communal performance.
Homecoming was accompanied by a live album titled Homecoming: The Live Album. The film received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Special and was widely praised for documenting the scale and detail of the production rather than presenting only a conventional concert recording.
