Beyoncé's 2016 album inspired by a seven-part structure is Lemonade.
Lemonade is a visual album that combines songs with a film divided into chapters associated with emotional and cultural themes. Its music draws on pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock, country, blues, and other traditions. The project was released on April 23, 2016, first as a streaming release through Tidal and later through other formats.
The album includes songs such as “Formation,” “Sorry,” “Hold Up,” and “Daddy Lessons.” Its visual presentation and subject matter generated extensive discussion about identity, history, relationships, and Black womanhood.
Lemonade won the Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2017 and was nominated for Album of the Year. It is distinct from Renaissance, Beyoncé's 2022 album, which begins a planned trilogy and emphasizes dance-oriented traditions.
