Beyoncé’s 2006 studio album named after her birth date is B’Day.
B’Day was released on September 4, 2006, Beyoncé’s 25th birthday. The title is a compact reference to both “birthday” and the stylized nickname “Bey.” It was her second solo studio album, following Dangerously in Love.
The album’s singles included “Déjà Vu,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Irreplaceable,” and “Beautiful Liar,” the last featuring Shakira on a later edition. “Irreplaceable” became one of Beyoncé’s most successful solo singles and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks.
B’Day is sometimes written with a straight apostrophe as B'Day, while the album title is commonly styled with a typographic apostrophe. It should not be confused with Beyoncé’s 2011 album 4 or her 2008 double-disc project I Am... Sasha Fierce.
