What is the official name of the tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong?
Answer
International Commerce Centre
Answer
International Commerce Centre
Hong Kong’s tallest skyscraper is the International Commerce Centre.
The tower stands in West Kowloon, across Victoria Harbour from Hong Kong Island. It forms the tallest part of the Union Square development and is commonly abbreviated as ICC.
International Commerce Centre was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox in association with the Hong Kong practice Wong & Ouyang. Construction was completed in phases, and the tower opened in 2010.
The building contains offices, hotels, shops and observation facilities. It is sometimes confused with Two International Finance Centre, another famous Hong Kong skyscraper across the harbour. Two IFC is a major landmark, but International Commerce Centre is taller.
