What is the name of the time-traveling villain in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped?

The time-traveling villain in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped is Dr. N. Tropy.

N. Tropy is a scientist obsessed with time and the inventor of the Time Twisting Machine, the device that allows Crash and Coco to visit different historical eras. Cortex and Uka Uka recruit him to help gather powerful crystals scattered throughout time.

N. Tropy serves as one of the game's major villains and eventually becomes a boss inside the Time Twisting Machine. His mechanical time-travel equipment, clockwork design and formal mannerisms reinforce his identity as a scientist devoted to controlling time.

A common mix-up is confusing N. Tropy with Dr. N. Gin or Dr. Neo Cortex. N. Gin is Cortex's cyborg assistant, while Cortex is the series' central mad-scientist villain. Nitrous Oxide is also an antagonist, but he is primarily associated with Crash Team Racing rather than Warped.
