Studio 8G is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the headquarters commonly associated with NBC’s Manhattan television operations. Seth Meyers’s program began broadcasting from the studio when it premiered in 2014.
The room is part of the same famous complex that contains Studio 8H, the longtime home of Saturday Night Live. That similarity creates a frequent mix-up: 8H is strongly associated with the sketch-comedy series, while Late Night with Seth Meyers uses 8G.
The studio’s location also connects Meyers’s show to the history of NBC’s late-night franchise.
