What is the name of the location where Simba returns to confront Scar?

The story behind the answer

Simba returns to confront Scar at Pride Rock.

Pride Rock is the ceremonial and political center of the Pride Lands, where Mufasa rules at the beginning of the film. It is also where Rafiki presents Simba as a newborn prince and where the animals gather for major royal events. The towering rock formation therefore represents both Simba’s family home and his rightful inheritance.

After Mufasa’s death, Scar claims the throne and rules from Pride Rock. Years later, Nala tells Simba that the Pride Lands have become barren, and Rafiki and Mufasa’s spirit help him accept his responsibility. Simba then returns with Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa, sneaks past the hyenas, and confronts Scar at the royal stronghold.

The Outlands are associated with Scar’s followers, the Gorge is where the wildebeest stampede occurs, and the Elephant Graveyard is an earlier location Simba visits with Nala. None is the site of the final confrontation. Pride Rock is also the setting for the film’s closing image, when Rafiki presents Simba and Nala’s newborn cub.
