What is the name of the Italian Assassin who stars in Assassin's Creed II?

Ezio Auditore is the Italian Assassin who stars in Assassin's Creed II.

Ezio is introduced as a young Florentine nobleman whose life changes after his family is executed as part of a Templar conspiracy. He joins the Assassin Brotherhood and spends decades pursuing those responsible while building alliances across Renaissance Italy. His story forms the foundation of Assassin's Creed II and continues in Brotherhood and Revelations.

Assassin's Creed II presents Ezio's development from an inexperienced young man into a highly skilled leader. The game visits cities and regions including Florence, Venice, Tuscany, and Forlì. Historical figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Caterina Sforza appear as allies or contacts.
