What is the name of the fictional school attended by Newt Scamander in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world?

Newt Scamander attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.

Newt Scamander is the fictional magizoologist whose name appears on the cover of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a companion book first published in 2001. He later became the central character of the Fantastic Beasts film series, beginning with the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Hogwarts is the Scottish wizarding school attended by Harry Potter and many other British characters. Newt’s school history links the Fantastic Beasts stories to the earlier novels, even though his adventures take place decades before Harry begins at Hogwarts. His interest in magical creatures eventually leads to the textbook associated with his name.

Beauxbatons and Durmstrang are also wizarding schools, but they are not Newt’s school. Ilvermorny is a North American school introduced in later world-building. The full official name, rather than simply “Hogwarts,” is the canonical answer to this question.
