The female fairy in Rayman 2 is Ly.
Ly is a benevolent fairy and one of Rayman's most important allies in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, first released in 1999. She warns Rayman that robotic pirates led by Admiral Razorbeard have destroyed the Primordial Core and captured much of the world's population.
After Rayman loses his powers, Ly helps him indirectly by sending a Silver Lum through Globox. Rayman later rescues her from the pirates in the Fairy Glade. She explains that Rayman must collect four magical masks so that Polokus, the spirit of the Glade of Dreams, can awaken and defeat the invaders.
Ly is sometimes confused with Betilla, who is associated with the original Rayman, or Uglette, who is Globox's wife. In the later stages of Rayman 2, Ly transfers her remaining power to Rayman and eventually helps save him during the final battle against Razorbeard.
