The Eagles’ 1980 live album is Eagles Live. Released on November 7, 1980, it was the band’s first live album and fulfilled a remaining recording obligation to Asylum Records as the group was breaking up.

The two-LP set combines performances from several tours rather than documenting one concert. Five tracks were recorded at the Forum in October 1976 during the Hotel California era, while ten more came from performances in California in July 1980. The venues included the Forum, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and Long Beach Arena.

Eagles Live is sometimes confused with Hell Freezes Over, the 1994 live-and-studio reunion album, or with The Long Run, the band’s final studio album before the breakup. It also includes “Seven Bridges Road,” a Steve Young cover that became a Top 40 single. The album’s extensive overdubbing later attracted criticism, but its title and release identity are unambiguous.
