What is the name of the corporation that employs the marines in James Cameron’s Aliens?

The corporation that employs the marines in James Cameron’s Aliens is Weyland-Yutani.

Often nicknamed “the Company,” Weyland-Yutani is the powerful fictional corporation behind much of the film’s commercial and military activity. The Colonial Marines are sent to investigate the loss of contact with the colony on LV-426 after the corporation receives information about the site.

The company’s interests help drive the story: its representatives are concerned with the potential value of the alien organism, while the surviving characters focus on containing the threat. This conflict explains why corporate priorities repeatedly clash with human safety.

Viewers sometimes call the company simply Weyland, especially because later Alien stories develop the Weyland name. In Aliens, however, the established corporate name is the combined Weyland-Yutani.
