What is the name of the clownfish who gets lost in Finding Nemo?

The story behind the answer

The clownfish who gets lost in Finding Nemo is Nemo.

Nemo is the young clownfish at the center of Pixar's 2003 animated film. He lives with his father, Marlin, near Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Although Marlin is extremely protective, Nemo wants to explore the open sea and prove that he can manage on his own.

During a school outing, Nemo swims toward a boat and is captured by scuba divers. He is taken to a dentist's office in Sydney, where he joins the Tank Gang and tries to escape. His disappearance sends Marlin on a long journey across the ocean with Dory, a regal blue tang who has short-term memory loss.

Nemo is sometimes confused with Marlin because Marlin is the character doing most of the searching, while Dory is the film's other widely recognized fish. Nemo's name also reflects the story's central idea: a child separated from home who must find courage, independence, and eventually his way back to his family.
