What is the name of the alien antagonist in Crash Team Racing?

The alien antagonist in Crash Team Racing is Nitros Oxide.

Nitros Oxide is presented as an egomaniacal extraterrestrial racer and the self-proclaimed fastest racer in the galaxy. He arrives on Earth and challenges Crash Bandicoot, Doctor Neo Cortex, and their allies to a series of races. His threat is unusually cartoonish even for Crash: if Earth’s racers lose, he will transform the planet into a concrete parking lot.

Adventure Mode gradually unlocks tracks, arenas, and boss races before the final confrontation with Oxide. The game’s competitors are divided by story circumstances rather than a simple good-versus-evil alliance, so Crash and Cortex can both take part despite being longtime enemies.

Several names in the answer choices belong to other Crash games. N. Tropy is associated with time manipulation, Emperor Velo is the principal villain of Crash Nitro Kart, and Nitrus Brio is one of Doctor Cortex’s scientists. Nitros Oxide returned in later Crash racing titles, including Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
