What is the name of Halo: Campaign Evolved's new three-mission prequel arc?

The name of Halo: Campaign Evolved’s new three-mission prequel arc is Operation METEORITE.

Operation METEORITE is a newly created addition to the remake, rather than a renamed section of Halo: Combat Evolved’s original 2001 campaign. It follows Master Chief and Sergeant Major Avery Johnson during a covert UNSC mission involving a Covenant vessel above the glassed human colony of Promise.

The arc was designed to add context to Chief and Johnson’s partnership, which is important throughout the classic Halo story but was only lightly explored in the original game. Halo Studios worked with Halo novelist Troy Denning on the new material, helping connect the missions to the wider fiction.

Players may confuse the title with Alpha Halo, the installation where most of Combat Evolved takes place, or with broader Halo terms such as the Reclaimer Saga. Those are separate story concepts, not the name of this new prequel chapter.
