What is the name of Beyoncé’s country song that topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024?

“Texas Hold ’Em” is Beyoncé’s country song that topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024.

Beyoncé released “Texas Hold ’Em” as one of two singles announced during the 2024 Super Bowl, alongside “16 Carriages.” The song arrived on February 11, 2024, and became the first single from her album Cowboy Carter. Its title refers to Texas hold ’em, a widely played form of poker.

The track combines country instrumentation with a modern pop structure. Beyoncé sings over banjo, acoustic guitar, bass, and rhythmic percussion, while the lyrics use dance-hall and card-game imagery. It was written by Beyoncé with Raphael Saadiq, Brian Bates, Nathan Ferraro, and other collaborators.

“Texas Hold ’Em” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and also made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The song is distinct from “16 Carriages,” another Cowboy Carter single released at the same time.
