What is the name of Beyoncé’s 2022 album that begins a planned trilogy?

Beyoncé’s 2022 album that begins a planned trilogy is Renaissance.

Renaissance was released on July 29, 2022, as Beyoncé’s seventh studio album. It was introduced as the first act of a three-part project, although the album itself stands independently as a dance, disco, house, and pop-influenced work.

The lead single “Break My Soul” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Other songs include “Alien Superstar,” “Cuff It,” and “Virgo’s Groove.” The album received the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

Renaissance is sometimes confused with Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé’s 2024 country and Americana-influenced album. Cowboy Carter is the second act of the trilogy, while Renaissance is the first.
