Beyoncé’s 2019 live album and documentary about her Coachella performance is Homecoming.
Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé premiered on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It documents the preparation and staging of Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella headline performances, including rehearsals, production meetings, and the final concerts. The performance itself became known informally as Beychella.
The accompanying live album, Homecoming: The Live Album, was released on the same day. Its set list includes songs from Beyoncé’s solo career and Destiny’s Child, whose members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams reunited with her onstage. The production drew visual and musical inspiration from historically Black colleges and universities, including marching bands and majorette-style dance.
Homecoming is distinct from Black Is King, Beyoncé’s 2020 visual album connected to The Lion King: The Gift. It is also separate from Life Is But a Dream, a 2013 documentary about her life and career.
