What is the name of Ariana Grande’s 2018 album? The answer is Sweetener.

Sweetener is Ariana Grande’s fourth studio album, released on August 17, 2018, through Republic Records. It followed Dangerous Woman and represented a shift toward brighter, more experimental pop, with elements of R&B, trap, funk, and house music.

The album includes “No Tears Left to Cry,” “God Is a Woman,” and “Breathin.” Its songs explore healing, optimism, romance, anxiety, perseverance, and finding light after painful experiences. Grande explained that the title referred to bringing light to a difficult situation or “sweetening” it.

Sweetener became Grande’s third number-one album on the US Billboard 200 and later won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. A common mix-up is Thank U, Next, which followed in 2019 and was partly shaped by the same period of public and personal change. Dangerous Woman was released earlier, in 2016.
