What is the name of AC/DC's 1995 album produced by Rick Rubin?
Answer
Ballbreaker
Answer
Ballbreaker
AC/DC’s 1995 album produced by Rick Rubin is *Ballbreaker*.
Released on 25 September 1995, *Ballbreaker* was AC/DC’s thirteenth studio album and followed *The Razors Edge*. It was recorded mainly at Ocean Way Studios in Los Angeles after the band and Rubin became dissatisfied with the drum sound at an earlier New York location. Rubin was known for pursuing a hard, dry, stripped-back sound that recalled AC/DC’s classic records.
The album also marked drummer Phil Rudd’s return to AC/DC after more than a decade away. Its best-known songs include “Hard as a Rock,” “Cover You in Oil,” and “Hail Caesar.” A common mix-up is confusing *Ballbreaker* with *Stiff Upper Lip* or *Black Ice*, which were released in 2000 and 2008 respectively. Rubin’s earlier AC/DC connection was the 1993 single “Big Gun,” but *Ballbreaker* was the only AC/DC album he produced.
